Clif and LaJan
We met in November of 1979 and married in January of 1980. No one thought it could possibly last. But here we are. Over the years we have been through so much, yet we survived even the worst by trusting each other and God.
Jason & Shannon
Jason was part of our lives for 34 years, 3 months and 3 days. We only had our Shannon for 2 years, 9 months and 5 days. Not nearly enough time. They were a perfect match from what I could see. The lived to laugh. They never hesitated to help those in need. Their shared goal in life was to give Ruby everything they could. To raise her to be respectful and honest. But above all, to love life.
Jason was a son any parent would be happy to have. He always made us proud. We knew we were loved by him. We both called him our best friend. Shannon came into our lives a stranger, but she left as our daughter. We couldn't have loved her more if she had been ours.
The Star of Our Family
Miss Ruby Michele
1 year, 22 months and 23 days is all we had. Such a short time but filled with so much joy. Clif had the honor of being Ruby's sitter while we worked. We saw her almost every day. She was only 2 weeks old when she spent the first night with us. But I blessed to have 4 months off work with her. We loved having her with us and joy of watching her grow. She loved the park. Our dogs Molly and Neville were both protector and playmates for her. When she would go home, it was wonderful to rest. But it didn't take long until the house was too quiet, and we would be ready for her to come back. Ruby was silly like her Daddy. Determined like her Mommy. Curious like her Gram'pa. But they all referred to Ruby as my Mini Me because they said she had my attitude.
She was our world and our future. Now all we have is quiet.
